THE Travelzoo website serves as a hub for millions of users around the world to find and purchase the best travel, entertainment, and lifestyle deals online.
Working with an agency and internal product team, I was the lead in-house designer helping oversee the responsive redesign project from kickoff to global launch. The human-centered redesign incorporated optimized user flows, visual design and SEO, which increased revenue (+8%), CSAT (+15%) and decreased bounce rate (-21%). My role included guiding the visual design and user experience, interaction design, prototyping, leading frontend implementation, and developing the responsive CSS framework and page templates.
After launch, the challenge was to continuously develop new ideas and solutions based on business requests, user feedback and testing, and industry knowledge. Working with product managers, developers, stakeholders, and top leadership, I created end-to-end UX/UI solutions from wireframes and prototypes, to delivering final high fidelity comps and specs. I also participated in user research, running usability and A/B tests to optimize user experience and conversion metrics.

While the agency delivered us a broad vision of the new user experience and visual design, the final execution would be done in-house, and there was plenty of designing left to do. The home page still needed some polish so I created a web prototype while building out the core responsive CSS framework.
